Michelle Smith, Principal

Michelle Smith is a Virginia attorney with significant legal experience in the real estate industry.  A Northern Virginia native from a real estate family, Michelle received her J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law in 2007 and was admitted to the Virginia Bar the same year.

In addition to the Law Office, Michelle works as a settlement attorney handling Virginia, Maryland and D.C. closings.  Prior to becoming a settlement attorney, Michelle worked as a civil litigation attorney, where she defended cases involving real estate law and title issues, among other cases.

Michelle loves working with clients to accomplish their home ownership goals, including real estate settlement representation, adding to or removing from the title, or creating documents for her clients' private loans.  She also enjoys teaching classes to agents on the different facets of the real estate industry, from property drafting contracts, working with clients, and dealing with unconventional transactions. 

When away from the office, she can usually be found playing with her two kids.  She is an avid animal lover, and enjoys DC sports.
